Is the 30-day trial really free?
Yes. Full Pro plan, no credit card to start. We email you on day 25 to pick a plan or do nothing; if you do nothing your workspace just goes read-only on day 31. We never auto-charge a card we never had.
What does "read-only" mean after the trial?
You can log in, view all your data, export it, and read every report; but you cannot create or edit records, send messages, run Carina actions, or publish shifts. Your data is preserved and unchanged. Activate Pro any time to unlock writes again. We only delete a workspace if you explicitly request it or it stays dormant for 12 months (GDPR-friendly).
Is Pro pricing per seat or per workspace?
£79/mo is per workspace and includes up to 25 staff. Above 25 staff it is £3 per extra staff/month; no surprise jumps, no contract minimums. (For reference: a traditional HR platform on its advice-line tier typically charges ~£21/employee/month; for 25 staff that is over £530/month.)
What is a "Carina action"?
A single tool call by the agent; drafting a rota, sending an invoice, summarising a call, generating a COSHH assessment. Chat replies that do not invoke tools do not count. Pro includes 500 actions/month; need more? Top up with a booster pack of +500 actions for £39/mo. Enterprise is unlimited.
What exactly is "Carina with private knowledge" on Enterprise?
You upload your handbook, policies, contracts, SOPs, training materials; anything that defines how YOUR business works. Carina ingests it into your private document library and uses YOUR data as the first source when answering. So "what is our maternity policy?" returns your exact policy with section citations, not a generic UK summary. Enterprise-only: Carina answers from your policies and contracts first, with citations, so advice matches how your business actually runs.
Do I need Enterprise for SSO / SAML?
Yes. SSO/SAML/OIDC and SCIM auto-provisioning live on Enterprise. This matches industry standard; teams above ~50 staff with an IT/InfoSec team typically have SSO as a common requirement for larger organisations, and Enterprise pricing reflects the support, audit and identity-management overhead. Below that threshold, Pro's 2FA + passkey login is more than sufficient.
When should I upgrade from Pro to Enterprise?
Five common triggers: (1) your IT team mandates SSO/SAML/SCIM; (2) you want to white-label the product under your own brand (custom domain, hide TuinApp, rebrand Carina); (3) you want Carina to learn YOUR company's policies and contracts; (4) you operate multiple sites/franchises and need consolidated reporting across sub-workspaces; (5) you want a 24/7 human HR + H&S advisor on-call in addition to Carina. If any of these apply, Enterprise is usually the right fit.
Do you offer non-profit or charity pricing?
Yes. Registered charities and social enterprises get a 30% discount on annual plans. Just email [email protected] with your Charity Commission registration number.
Can I self-host?
On the Enterprise plan we offer a dedicated tenant cluster, customer-managed encryption keys (BYOK), and an on-prem Kubernetes bundle for regulated buyers (security, care, finance).
Can I use my own domain (e.g. workspace.acme.co.uk)?
Yes. Every workspace gets {you}.tuinapp.uk on day one. On Enterprise you add your own domain in Settings → Domains. Add one CNAME at your registrar, click Verify, and Cloudflare issues your TLS certificate automatically. Your data stays in our database; only the front door changes.
What is full white-label?
Enterprise tenants can send email from their own domain ([email protected]), hide "Powered by TuinApp", run their own careers site (careers.acme.co.uk), and rename Carina to their own assistant name. The TuinApp engine is invisible; their brand is everything end-users see.
Can I resell TuinApp under my own brand?
Yes; talk to us. We have a partner / OEM tier with wholesale pricing, sub-tenant management, and optional dedicated infrastructure. Currently in pilot with three accounting practices and one labour consultancy.
Can I switch plans?
Trial → Pro upgrade is instant. Pro → Enterprise is a 24-hour migration to your dedicated cluster (if you choose one). Downgrade Enterprise → Pro any time, pro-rated.
